I just did a search and it said Sonnberger was Austrian . Sonnberger
was what Sunbury was when they came before the Revolutionary war and
they came from Germany. I think when Heinrich came to this country
that his name was changed then . Will check in the Boston marriage
records and see how he is listed .Am away for a few days .It may be
Catherine's parents that are listed. There is also a Swiss connection I
believe . Hope we can help you solve the family puzzle you are working
on

Does anyone know the Hungarian/Austrian name that was used for the
American Sunbury name, before coming here?
I suspect it was German at first.
