I. I have been told that two of John & Mary Uber McDonald, Sr.'s daughters
married Borland McDowell abt 1805 - aft 1880

great-grandmother, Magdalena 'Molly' Twiney. John McDonald, Sr. was the son

Borland and Hannah McDonald McDowell are found in the 1850 census Wolfcreek
Twp, Mercer Co, PA; in the 1860 & 1870 census PENNSYLVANIA , MERCER, PINE
TWP Borland 76 is found with his widowed daughter Morgan M. Black 29 in the
1880 census Pine Grove, Mercer, Pennsylvania
I believe that both Mary M. and Hannah Rebecca McDonald had children with
Borland McDowell.
Is Borland McDowell's family known? Who were Borland McDowell's parents,

Matthew & Hannah Uber McDowell family are found in the Springfield Twp,
Mercer Co, Pennsylvania federal census for the years 1850, 1860, 1870 and
1880. They had 2 or 3 children one of whom, Amanda 'Mauda' lived to marry
John Davis and have at least 7 children. The youngest son, Herbert McDowell
Davis born in Springfield Twp, Mercer county, PA, April 30, 1878, has a
write-up in History of Mercer Co., 1909, p. 1071 which I have.
Who were the parents, siblings of this Matthew McDowell?
Is it possible that Borland McDowell and this Matthew McDowell were brothers
or at least related?

he the son of Matthew & Jane Borland McDowell?
Matthew married Hannah Uber daughter of Abraham Uber and Magdalena 'Molly'
Twiney. Hannah was born on 27 Mar 1800 in PA, USA - Springfield Twp, Mercer
Co, 1850 census. She was christened on 25 Mar 1801 in First Lutheran Church,
Greensburg, Westmoreland Co, PA, USA. She died about 1890.

Is James W. McDowell's family known?
Is it possible that this James W. McDowell is the same James W. McDowell who
was the son of Borland & Hannah Rebecca McDonald McDowell? If not, who was
his family?
