I'm re-sending the following message as the original, with attachment, was sent back to me by the list owner (Roots):

My brother just sent me a neat book, COLLINGBOURNE KINGSTON, A PHOTOGRAPHIC VIEW FROM 1900 TO 1950. It's written by one of the farmers' wives, Mary May, whose web site is . The book is a bit pricey, at 15 pounds, plus postage, but I really enjoyed it. It gives a lot of ancient history about the village and its founders, as well as more recent residents. I believe anyone interested in this village would appreciate it.
