Further to past emails: I mentioned the French word for dandelion to a
friend, who told me that the German for dandelion means "teeth of a
lion"
When you look at the English word you can see that! In fact Google's
dictionary entry shows that it derives from Old French dentdelion, or
lion's tooth (from the shape of the leaf)
