Your email to Colin Younger was passed to several Burbage researchers
including myself.
I have a pageful of Bridgman families in my files which include your Ambrose
and George and all his family.
I think George was the son of Sarah Bridgman whose parents were John B and
Sarah Butcher. John born 1754 was the son of William B and Sarah Elton who
married in 1749. I think William married again in 1762 and probably died in
either 1774 or 1785. But I do not have his birth or any indication where he
came from.
I can't tell you about spellings, but I certainly have a few unconnected
odds on the page!
