Advisory Board activity as of 25 May 1999, ca 1930 hours.

Motion 99-12 reads: "Whereas directories are being
inappropriately used for unintended archival purposes it is
hereby resolved that all archival
data directories not under the USGW XXGenWeb Archives and
containing census
data be purged immediately of all such data and the census
data placed in the appropriate XXGenWeb archives. This
includes but is not limited to the
ftp://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/census/ directory. It is further
resolved that Dr Brian Leverich be requested to return the
USGW Census Account(s) to the USGW Archives Census Accounts.

having elapsed, it is presumed that Motion to Table Motion
99-12 carries with 10 Ayes, 00 Nays, 04 members not voting.

to Table on the appropriate Web Page.

The National Coordinator asked to hear a motion to accept
David Young as "the new Rep for the
Northeast/North Central Region". There had been some
discussion as to whom might be appointed, including the idea
that the next highest vote "getter" in the last election
might be asked. One Board member pointed out that though
this method has been used that it was not a requirement to
use this method.

Joe Zsedeny made the following motion in this regard: "I
make a motion That David Young be confirmed as the
Northeast/North Central Region Representative."

The motion was seconded by Betsy Mills. The NC announced at
Tue, 25 May 1999 14:45:01 -0700 (PDT), "Now that a
Motion has been made: ‘I make a motion That David Young be
confirmed as the Northeast/North Central Region
Representative'. and seconded. Please vote on Motion
99-13."

Voting has begun. And, a board member has asked a question
in discussion.
