Did you know that we have another Hesketh connection:

Leonard Hesketh (son of William) married Elizabeth Yoxall , dau of Mary and gdau of Ralph and Anne in 1881.
This is the same Elizabeth as discussed in my earlier e-mail, Subject: Re: more from the 1861 census. As the marriage details for Elizabeth and Leonard show her to be illegitimate it does look as if she was the illegitimate daughter of Mary.
I cannot see any relationship between these two Yoxall branches.

I can't really give you much more data on Ann Yoxall (1873-1915) than that given in Paula's email below. However, I can give you a bit more information on James Clegg Hesketh, her husband.

James Clegg Hesketh's father, Thomas Baron Hesketh, is my my gg grandfather (3 Thomas Baron Hesketh's followed by a Peter Baron Hesketh and me, David Baron Hesketh). Thomas was affectionately known as Grandpa Whiskers because he had a big white beard. I have a picture of James Clegg Hesketh, Thomas Baron Hesketh and the rest of the clan if you would like a copy. I also have James' birth certificate and the site of his burial if you would like any information from them.

Sorry not to be of more help on the Yoxall side.

I would be delighted to exchange details i have given you what i have of my Yoxalls below. It is from the HESKETH line from which i stem.. ( a hesketh married a KINSEY and my great great grandmother was Fanny KINSEY). There is no direct relationship to myself here but i know David Hesketh would also be delighted to hear from you.... his email is if you want to contact him.
