Just a thought Joan, could Ada be Ada STUBBS from a first marriage for Edith, or a child born out of wedlock? There are 2 Ada STUBBS on Cheshire BMD,?one born 1900 and the other 1904, both registered Crewe.

Incidentally, Joseph Stanley ROBINSON, Martha Ann's son, was born 1910, Crewe.

I'm a bit puzzled about Joseph's grand-daughter, Ada. I only have two
children for Joseph YOXALL and Ann HORTON, the two mentioned in the Will, so
I suppose Ada has to be the child of one of them. Whilst it is natural to
think Ada would be the daughter of Frank H. YOXALL, it is also possible that
Ada was born to Martha Ann YOXALL before she married Arthur ROBINSON.
Martha Ann
was about 27 or 28 when she married, leaving quite a few years when she
could
have had a child out of wedlock. Looking at the 1901 census (family living
at 32 Bradfield Road, same address as in the Will of Joseph YOXALL), when
Martha Ann was aged 20, there is no child named Ada there then. I have had
a look at the birth registrations from 1901 onwards up to the time of Joseph
making his Will and I can't find a suitable registration for an Ada YOXALL.
There is an Ada E. YOXALL, born in 1914 but she is the child of Arthur
YOXALL and Elizabeth SANDLAND.

Does anyone on the List know anything about Ada ?
